Professional Golfer's Association
The Golf Talent Development Initiative is formed in collaboration between the Croatian Golf Association & PGA of Croatia, to address a need for an immediate action on developing junior golf in Croatia. A key influencers in golf in Croatia have joined forces to establish programme with a clear pathway for talent development, so both junior participation and competitive golf move forward. The initiative is endorsed by The R&A.
PBZ Trophy continues its tradition as one of the largest amateur tournament series in the region. Each tournament is a sponsored event and a competition in its own right, which gathers both recreational golfers and high performers offering attractive prizes in several categories by our sponsoring partners.
TOURNAMENT INFO and CALENDAR
All our members go through the Confederation of Professional Golf (CPG) - Initial Professional Education (IPE), an education programme partially financed by The Ryder Cup European Development Trust. A three-month programme gives an access to an introductory level of coach training while touching on issues around developing both the sport and the industry.
The National Coaching & Selection Team is led by the PGA professional - Dean Dužaić, who is a PGA of Croatia and The PGA (GB&I) member. Dean has completed a PGA Foundation degree in professional golf studies, Advanced Certificate in Golf Coaching and Postgraduate Diploma in Sport Coaching at the University of Birmingham, England. Recent efforts towards establishing an effective coaching programme have resulted with a Win at the European Team Shield Championship 2018
